ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES

OF AUTOCAD

DISADVANTAGES:

With all technology have to come some possible drawbacks, and with AutoCAD to: there are technical disadvantages.  Though AutoCAD saves labour from the traditional way of drawing blueprints by hand, it takes a great deal of time and money for training to use CAD. Also revision control becomes an issue because it’s difficult keeping track of changes when many people are working on drawings for a project, something which could cause problems for example. A decorator might suggest a change and implement this change, but not all contracting parties may receive this modification on the drawings which will cause confusions in the construction stage.

ADVANTAGES:

Communication is a key role in the progress and the success of any project, and to help participating parties on a project such as engineers, designers, contractors, and customers communicate a lot faster. AutoCAD has the ability to import data from the Microsoft Excel program; these data may include blocks, legends, logos, tables, and text, to name a few types. These features save time and labour for estimating, engineers, designers, and architectural technicians and will lower the costs of the project.
